Late Payment Fee
In the event that any Deferred Payment (or any instalment thereof) remains unpaid after the applicable Due Date, a grace period of one (1) calendar day shall apply, during which no late payment fee shall be imposed.
If the payment remains outstanding on the second (2nd) day following the Due Date, AhaRetail shall be entitled to impose a late payment fee (“LPF”), calculated as follows:
- RM50, where the outstanding Deferred Payment exceeds RM150; or
- RM30, where the outstanding Deferred Payment is RM150 or less.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the total late payment fee imposed shall not exceed the amount of the outstanding Deferred Payment.
The Parties acknowledge and agree that such late payment fees are reasonable and proportionate, and are imposed in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, including the Consumer Credit Act 2025 and applicable guidelines issued by the Consumer Credit Oversight Board (CCOB).
